Kotak Mahindra Bank has launched its mobile application with the name of Kotak bank (size of 5.8 MB for the current version 2.2.1) which can be downloaded from the Google play store or by sending MOBILE <Last 4 digits of your CRN> as SMS to 9971056767/5676788 or by simply browsing to the URL app.kotak.com which will redirect you to the download page.
It focuses most heavily on English and German and the rest are there, but not quite as much as English or German. 
The premium version is surprisingly expensive, but the app is entirely offline and the premium version adds on a no ad experience, a trivia game, and a vocabulary tracker. However, this one can also translate between 51 different languages.
What type of handset do I need to use the Kotak Mobile Banking App? Kotak Mobile Banking App is supported on GSM / CDMA phones. The app is available in iOS (version 4.3 onwards), Android (version 2.2.3 onwards), Windows (version 8.0 onwards) and Blackberry (version 5.0 onwards) operating systems. You need to have access to internet to use the app.

On downloading and installing the application, one is expected to generate an MPIN by clicking on the link provided on the landing page of the application. The later authentication process requires you to choose either of “Net Banking” or “Debit Card” and on selecting them you will be asked to enter your net banking password or the Card details respectively. After the validation process an MPIN of 6 digits is generated and the before logging into the application a prerequisite is to register for the Activation key, which can be done by sending an SMS from your registered mobile number in the following format K ACTMB ABCD XXXXXX (where ABCD are the last 4 digits of your CRN and XXXXXX is the Activation Key) or by simply calling the 1800 102 6022 toll free number.
Upon logging in to the application the user is presented with the following Tabs , which upon selection the user is redirected and shown with more specific features as per his requirements.

By using the Kotak mobile application, one can view details of the Accounts/Term deposits /Investments, Make Fund Transfers, Pay utility bills, Invest/Redeem in Mutual Funds, Report loss or theft of card, Track cheque status or put in a request for a new cheque book.
An added advantage of the mobile application is that it is safe and secure through 256 bit encryption and the bank has a dedicated Customer care centre to also answer your queries related to the mobile application.
Issues frequently faced/reported with the application:
